1. What Railza is

Railza.ch (“Railza”) is an independent guidance service operated by the operator of Railza.ch. It tells travelers what an existing pass or ticket covers on a specific connection in Switzerland, what additional ticket, reservation or supplement may be needed, and where to buy it from the official operator.

Railza is not a transport company, not a ticket office and not affiliated with SBB or any other operator unless stated. Railza does not sell, issue or validate transport tickets, passes or reservations.

2. Operator rules prevail

The tariffs and conditions of carriage of the transport companies always prevail. You need a valid official ticket or travel pass for every journey, and you must hold it before departure. Railza’s Wallet companion passes, calendar entries and journey pages are not travel documents.

3. How answers are produced

Answers are generated by deterministic rules that cite official operator and pass-issuer sources, with the date each source was last checked. Where evidence is incomplete, outdated or conflicting, Railza says so and does not give a positive answer. Answers depend on the information you enter (for example pass type, dates, class, age and residence) and on the timetable data available for the connection you select.

4. Your responsibilities

Enter accurate information, check that the connection shown is the one you take, and follow the operators’ information and staff instructions on the day of travel. Carry any identity document your pass requires.

5. Free service and Railza Trip

Checking journeys is free. Railza Trip is an optional one-time purchase (CHF 14.90, including any VAT that applies) for one trip of up to 30 consecutive calendar days. It is a digital service that starts when the payment is confirmed and covers the features described on the pricing page. It does not renew. Payments are processed by Stripe; Railza does not store card details.

6. Refunds

See the refund policy. Refunds for transport tickets bought from an operator are handled by that operator under its conditions.

7. Liability

Railza takes care to keep its information accurate and states the limits of its coverage. Railza is liable for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence. To the extent permitted by law, any further liability — in particular for fares, surcharges or fines charged by operators, missed connections, or decisions based on information the traveler entered incorrectly — is excluded. Mandatory consumer protection rights remain unaffected.

8. Availability and changes

Railza may change or interrupt the service, for example for maintenance or when timetable or source data is unavailable. Material changes to these terms are announced on this page with a new version date.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is the registered seat of the service provider, subject to mandatory consumer jurisdiction rules.

10. Contact
